IND W vs ENG W: India Women maintained their authoritative spell during the current T20I series between IND and ENG, claiming a comfortable 24-run victory in the second T20I at Bristol. India now leads the five-match series 2-0 thanks to this convincing win.
Excellent batting returns from Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur, coupled with a level-headed bowling performance, saw India outclass the hosts for the second consecutive time.
Early Setback After Mandhana’s Bright Start
Sent in to bat first in Bristol, India got off to a good start with Smriti Mandhana hitting two boundaries in the first over. England, though, were quick to respond and sent Mandhana back for 13, along with sending Shafali Verma back cheaply once more.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who had been brought back into the playing XI, couldn’t make the most of an errant delivery and fell for a paltry 1, leaving India reeling at 35/3 after the powerplay.
Rodrigues and Amanjot Stage Comeback

India’s comeback was choreographed through a focused and attacking partnership by Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur. The momentum changed as a 14-run over from Linsey Smith enhanced India’s run rate. Rodrigues displayed her mettle with an explosive outburst, hitting 6, 4, 4 off Em Arlott and then hitting three more boundaries in the next over to complete her half-century.
Amanjot followed soon after, smashing boundaries in a hurry. The two contributed 49 runs from three overs, firmly restoring India’s grip in the match. While Rodrigues was dismissed after a brilliant 63, Amanjot continued his onslaught.
Amanjot Kaur and Ghosh Power India to 181

Amanjot scored her hard-earned half-century in the last overs, and Richa Ghosh came in with a crucial cameo. Ghosh hit an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls, taking India to a dominating total of 181/4 in 20 overs.
IND W vs ENG W: England Top-Order Collapse Puts India at Ease for Victory
England’s pursuit struggled from the beginning. Sophia Dunkley got run out in the first over, and Dani Wyatt-Hodge was out on the next ball itself to Deepti Sharma. There was some initial resistance put up by Nat Sciver-Brunt, who struck three boundaries nearby, but she got caught out later by Amanjot.
Beaumont Fights Back, But Rana’s Brilliance Seals the Deal

Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones attempted to steady England with a valuable partnership. Beaumont, in particular, was impressed by notching up her first T20I half-century in four years. But her run-out, thanks to a sharp fielding effort from Sneh Rana, shifted the momentum decisively back in India’s favour.
India tightened the noose with disciplined bowling and fine fielding. Despite some late blows from Sophie Ecclestone (35*), England could muster just 157/7 in their 20 overs.
