India Clinches Bronze in Men’s 10m Air Pistol Team at Shooting World Championship in Baku

Indian shooters have made a strong start at the ISSF World Championship (All Events) in Baku, Azerbaijan, securing a bronze medal in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol Team competition. The trio of Shiva Narwal, Sarabjot Singh, and Arjun Singh Cheema combined their skills to achieve a total score of 1734, earning them a spot on the podium. China clinched the gold medal with a score of 1749, while Germany took home the silver with 1743 points.

In the individual 10m Air Pistol events, Shiva Narwal displayed a commendable performance, achieving a qualification score of 579 and securing the 17th position. Unfortunately, he missed the finals by a narrow three-point margin. Sarabjot Singh closely followed in 18th place with a score of 578, while Arjun Cheema finished in the 26th position with a qualifying score of 577.

In the Women’s 10m Air Pistol individual competition, Esha Singh’s score of 572 earned her the 32nd spot, narrowly missing out on qualification by four points. Palak finished 40th with a score of 570, while Divya T.S. secured the 66th position with a score of 566.

Additionally, the qualifications for the men’s and women’s skeet shooting events also commenced on the same day. Exciting finals are lined up for Friday, including the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event.
