Following the positive cases of COVID-19 in the members of the Sri Lankan team, has to reschedule the matches of the India tour of Sri Lanka. In the limited-overs tour with Sri Lanka starting with the ODI series and then the t20 series. The three-match ODI series which begins from 13th July has now been postponed due to Covid. July 17 and July 18 are the tentative dates to begin the ODI series between the two sides.

The reason behind this is Sri Lankan board wanted players to be in extended quarantine for personal. The recent members to be tested positive in the Sri Lankan squad are their batting coach Grant Flower and team analyst on their return from England tour. Sri Lankan Board is still yet to announce the rescheduled dates for the matches to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Broadcasters on Sunday.

As per the schedule before the COVID concerns, the ODI series was to be played from July 13 to July 18 and followed by T20 which is to be played between July 1 to July 25in Colombo at the R Premadasa Stadium. A very big disappointment to Indian fans who wanted to see how these young players going to perform against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka cricket is going through a very hard time. Hope this series goes well for them too.
