The Indonesia Masters 2021 QF, Women’s Singles began with a match played between India’s PV Sindhu and Turkey’s Neslihan Yiğit on Friday, 19th November 2021.

The ongoing Indonesia Masters is a Super 750 Level Tournament held at the Bali International Convention Centre located at Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia from 16th to 21st November. The tournament got upgraded from a Super 500 into a Super 750 this year.

Indonesia Masters 2021 QF: Comfortable victory for PV Sindhu, into the semis

This Women’s Singles Quarter-finals match was played at Court 3. India’s PV Sindhu is World No.7 whereas her opponent Turkey’s Neslihan Yiğit is ranked 30th in the world.

In the Head-to-Head Record, it’s 3-0 in favour of Sindhu. They last met in the 2021 Denmark Open, where the 26-year-old Sindhu had won very comfortably.

At the 2021 Indonesia Masters, Sindhu was seeded third while Yiğit is unseeded. In this Quarter-finals encounter, the Indian won the 1st Game by 21-13. PV Sindhu dominated her and was leading by 11-6 by the mid-game interval. She maintained her 8 point lead & wrapped up the 1st game in 14 minutes.

In the 2nd Game, Neslihan Yiğit had a 0-3 lead. However, from there on it was a neck-to-neck encounter. During the mid-game interval, Sindhu was leading by 11-8. Then in the latter half, PV Sindhu controlled the match as she jumped by seven points from 13-10 to 20-10. She won the game 21-10 & clinched the match.

As a result, PV Sindhu won the match against Neslihan Yiğit in two straight games 21-13, 21-10 in about thirty-five minutes. Sindhu has advanced into the next round – the semi-finals, where she will either face Akane Yamaguchi or Pornpawee Chochuwong.
