In women’s doubles, the victory of China’s Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning is also seen as a major breakthrough, often cited as a new era of Chinese badminton, as they overcame an established duo to claim the title at the Indonesia Open 2025.
Likewise, in the men’s doubles, South Korea’s Kim Won Hu and Seo Seung Jae highlighted the rise as a dominant duo on the world stage.
