InGame Esports, a prominent player in the Esports industry, has collaborated with Tencent Games to broadcast the exciting PUBG MOBILE action from the Road to Asian Games (RDAG). This event was established by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) as a seeding tournament leading up to the Esports medal event at the prestigious Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China. This development marks a momentous occasion for Esports in Asia, as it gains recognition as a medal sport at the renowned multi-sport event.

For its inclusion in the Asian Games, PUBG MOBILE introduced the PUBG MOBILE Asian Games version, featuring a fresh format and gamestyle. This version provided participants with a dynamic blend of real-sport game experiences, incorporating elements such as parachuting, cross-country shooting, and racing. By infusing classic gameplay with elements from modern sports events like triathlons, this version celebrates the spirit of sportsmanship, a core value of the Games. The RDAG featured this innovative mode, with national PUBG MOBILE teams from across Asia participating.

The broadcasting of the RDAG matches was made accessible to a wide audience through the PUBG MOBILE Esports page by Tencent Games. InGame Esports played a crucial role in spearheading the broadcasting efforts. Leveraging their extensive experience in the Esports industry and their successful track record of collaborations with Tencent Games, such as the PUBG MOBILE National Championship South Asia Wild Card in December 2022, InGame Esports was the perfect choice to power the RDAG broadcasts.

Ramesh Liyanage, the Director of InGame Esports, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are extremely happy and proud to take on a new challenging opportunity of this scale with Tencent. PUBG MOBILE Asian Games version was a brand new game mode and many people had not played or seen proper gameplay of it, which meant we had to take extra care to make sure that every detail about the game was clearly identified and conveyed by the casters through the broadcast.”

The successful collaboration between Tencent Games and InGame Esports underscores their commitment to elevating the Esports scene in South Asia. Building on the achievements of past projects, such as marketing campaigns for the PUBG Mobile Pro Leagues South Asia and PUBG MOBILE Global Championship in 2022, this partnership promises to drive further advancements in the Esports ecosystem.

With the RDAG campaign concluded, attention now shifts to the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, where Esports will make its debut on the global stage. The partnership between InGame Esports and Tencent Games holds the promise of more exciting developments as they continue to nurture and promote the PUBG MOBILE ecosystem across South Asia and beyond.
