Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star David Beckham’s team Inter Miami violated the financial rules of MLS By Signing French World Cup Winner Blaise Matuidi. Under new MLS squad rules, each team is allowed two high-priced designated players whose wages can exceed the league’s salary cap, plus a third if there was a $150,000 payment to the league split among the other sides.

Inter Miami has already signed Matias Pellegrini from Argentina’s Estudiantes, Rodolfo Pizarro from Monterrey, Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus, and now Blaise Matuidi (also from Juventus).

MLS Found out that Matuidi was paid above the limit for a targeted allocation money deal, and therefore should have been classified as a high-priced designated player. Signing Matuidi makes him the 4th high-priced player bought by the club.

David Beckham And Inter Miami are in serious speculations and might have to pay hefty fines for the Frenchman’s signature.
