The 50-year-old Indian cricket coach and former cricketer Amol Muzumdar, who previously played for the cricket teams of Mumbai and Assam on the domestic circuit, is at the first spot in our list of the top three players who were on the brink of international cricket fame but ended up missing out on their debut matches. Often hailed as one of the most dominant players on the domestic cricket circuit, Amol Muzumdar made his first-class debut for Bombay.

Muzumdar scored 260 runs against Haryana in Faridabad during a Ranji Trophy match in the 1993–94 season and held the record for scoring most runs scored in the Ranji Trophy until it was surpassed by Ajay Rohera in December 2018.

Jalaj made his star-studded domestic cricket debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2005 and later switched bases to Kerala in 2016.

Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Jalaj made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh on 17 December 2005 in the 2005-06 Ranji Trophy and his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh on 10 February 2006 in the 2005–06 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Additionally, the sensational all-rounder made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh on 21 October 2009 in the 2009-10 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Jalaj earned enormous fame for concluding the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy season with the highest total of eighteen wickets.
