COVID-19 had already been increasing complications for International cricket from the past year. This year COVID-19 outbreak reached to such an extent that it lead to suspension of the league mid way through the season.

One such example is the cancellation of IPL midway through the season. It’s been about 3 weeks since the cancellation of IPL due to many COVID-19 cases in different franchises. However, what made the virus burst the safe bio bubble of IPL and enter into it is still a question.

Notably, from the past few days, we witnessed no international fixtures. But now, the comeback of international cricket is all set to happen on Sunday. Bangladesh is all set to lock horns with Sri Lanka in an ODI.

Kushal Parera will be the new Captain of Sri Lanka in the ODI. Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will also be back due to suspension of IPL. The first match of a three matches ODI series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
