It is nothing new when Mahendra Singh Dhoni helps youngsters during the Indian Premier League. Youngster Anuj Rawat talks about being fortunate enough to speak to Mahendra Singh Dhoni during IPL phase 1. Fan of Dhoni, Anuj Rawat disclosed the valuable tips he got from the former Indian Skipper.

Anuj Rawat shares that he asked Dhoni about what he said in an interview. Mahendra Singh Dhoni mentions that an athlete must be honest with himself or herself. He further discussed that he should know what he’s doing right or wrong. Like if a lazy athlete skips his workout he must understand that it is wrong. Anuj Rawat has been able to interact and learn from Dhoni a couple of times in the Indian Premier League.

Earlier in the first phase of the IPL, batsman Anuj Rawat made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals. After the game got postponed he is spending time with his friends and family back in his hometown.

Now that the Indian Premier League is set to continue from 19th September onwards, Rawat is extremely excited. He will be giving his hundred percent. He is also confident after putting in so much hard work in the practice sessions. Now Rawat is looking forward to doing the same things again in the UAE and helping the team with the bat or on the field. The young batsman also believes that the wicket in UAE  will suit his batting as he experienced it in the 2020 campaign with the Rajasthan Royals.

Having learned so much from Mahendra Singh Dhoni and implemented it all in the first phase of the IPL, it will be interesting to see the game of Anuj Rawat.

The Royals will face the Punjab Kings on 21st September in the remainder of the tournament.
