The BCCI on Tuesday assured the concerned foreign players playing in the IPL that it’ll do everything to ensure players’ safety. This came after several players expressed their concern about reaching back home safely.
Naming Andrew Tye, Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa withdrew their names and left their team’s bio bubble to leave for their country. All three of them cited concern on the catastrophic condition of Coronavirus in India. Andrew Tye even said in a tweet that ” How are these companies and franchises spending so much of money, and the government on the IPL when there are people not being able to get accepted into hospital “

Responding to players concern BCCI’s Interim Chief Executive officer Hemang Amin emailed to the teams stating that “We understand that many of you are apprehensive about how you will get back home once the tournament concludes We want to apprise you that you have nothing to worry about
The BCCI will do everything to ensure that you reach your respective destinations seamlessly. The BCCI is monitoring the situation very closely and is working with the government authorities to make arrangements to get you home once the tournament concludes.
Be rest assured that tournament is not over for BCCI till each one of you has reached your home, safe and sound “.
I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals 🙏🙏

It is to be noted that India is recording over 3.5 million cases each day and the situation is catastrophic here. A few players such as Ashwin had already opted out of IPL citing the present condition in the country.
