In the face-off against Mumbai and Delhi, Mumbai Indians bowler Jasprit Bumrah often called the Death over specialist opened with a No-ball.
Chasing a score of 138, Delhi Capitals are steadily cruising towards victory, only a miracle from Mumbai’s bowlers can stop them from winning.
Death over specialist Bumrah, opened with a slow Yorker on the outside off to Lalit Yadav which did not fetch any runs but Bumrah overstepped and the third umpire declared it a No-ball.
On the Free-hit, Lalit Yadav tried to pull the ball over mid-wicket but couldn’t do so as he missed the timing on the ball, Krunal Pandya took the catch but the batsmen crossed each other for a single.
Bumrah bowled a low full toss to Hitmyer which was hit towards the cover for a single.
Bumrah overstepped once again and Lalit Yadav hit the ball for a quick single.
In yet another Free-hit Hitmyer was bowled a short delivery by Bumrah, the batsman tried it loft it over mid-off but the ball went straight into Pollard’s hands for a catch, It didn’t matter as it was a free hit.
Bumrah bowled another full toss in the middle to Lalit Yadav for a quick single, followed by two runs off of Hitmyer and a single for the same batsman.
Mumbai’s Trump card, the death overs specialist Bumrah was at his worst today, as he failed to deliver under pressure with two no-balls that fetched two crucial wickets but weren’t counted because of the free hit. Mumbai relies on Bumrah for his magical death over wicket-taking capacity that sets him apart from other bowlers who sometimes crumble under pressure.
Bumrah could have bought the win home for Mumbai today with his bowling but failed to do so as he cost 10 runs for the team, making it much easier for Delhi to easily pull off a victory against Mumbai.
