Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their third defeat in the ongoing tournament of IPL 2021. SRH repeated the same story again, as they lost the match against Mumbai Indians by taking a run-chase deep owing to a collapse of their batting line-up. Mumbai Indians won their second match of the league as they kept their pace up against SRH and won the game by 13 runs.
The match started with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma winning the toss and making the choice of batting first. The all-rounder Vijay Shankar gave the first major breakthrough to his team in the seventh over as he dismissed the other team’s skipper at 32 off 25. They set a chase of 151 for SRH side.
Later on, chasing 151, Hyderabad decided to go with their old pair Jonny Bairstow and David Warner to open their innings. Bairstow played a quick -fire inning of 43 runs off 22 balls.
Towards the end of the match, Vijay Shankar smashed some boundaries to make SRH standout a little. However, he lost his wicket in the nineteenth over, after which Mumbai Indians took all the 10 wickets to restrict Hyderabad and win the game by 13 runs.
