On double header Sunday’s second match between the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings, the Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Mayank Agarwal batted an amazing 99 runs innings in his debut match as the captain in absence of K L Rahul, with enough support from other batsmen Punjab Kings scored a total of 166 runs for 20 overs.
Chasing a total of 167 runs, Delhi Capitals lost Prithvi Shaw early in the match but Shikhar Dhawan stood strong for the team as he completed his half-century and also became the orange cap holder of the season, Dhawan’s explosive and sturdy innings against Punjab bowlers helped Delhi Capitals steer to victory without any difficulty.
