The last few days in the IPL 2021 has been horrendous with the breach in BIO – SECURE bubble security norms, which lead to multiple players from the different franchise and staff testing COVID-19 positive.
Today, BCCI confirmed that IPL 2021 stands suspended and even VP of BCCI Rajeev Shukla even went on and said that IPL 2021 done and dusted to an extent. Now the question and cause of concern are more to the foreign nationals, about their future plans and all.
Cricket South Africa has clarified that they’ll be bringing back their players from India and they’re arranging efforts to eventually get their players back. In 5 back to back tweet threads on Twitter, Cricket South Africa issued a statement regarding the issue.

They’re making efforts to fly back their staff and players.

The players and the staff that travels back will be under quarantined when they’ll reach back South Africa. These are the common, basic constraints according to WHO for curbing COVID-19.

CSA also says that they’re in constant contact with their players and staff.

A lot of South African players such as AB de Villiers, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, etc are currently quarantined as per the breach protocols.
