The Delhi franchise ended runners-up last season in the UAE and would be aiming to go one better this time and a good start would be what they will be looking for.

Three-time champions CSK had a forgettable season last year, finishing at seventh out of eight teams and they would also be seeking a winning start in their bid to make amends for a poor IPL 2020.

Meanwhile, CSK is still suffering from the last season’s hangover, from the looks of matters.

CSK once again paying for not using their form players well. Gaikwad had a terrible domestic season and did not set the stage on fire in the inter-squad match.
Faf bags a duck in CSK’s season-opener.
Gaikwad has a firm-handed jab at it from the crease and snicks it behind. Dhawan takes a smart, low catch to his right.

By losing the wickets of both openers early, Chennai Super Kings in big trouble already.

Meanwhile, this a great start for Delhi Capitals.
