KKR after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match of the IPL 2021, won their first game, after 4 consecutive losses, all thanks to a wonderful inning by skipper Eoin Morgan.

KKR bowled exceptionally well in the first innings and restricted Punjab Kings at the score of 9 for 123. A 124 run chase didn’t begin on the right note as KKR lost three early wickets of Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine. After that, skipper Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi eloped a strong 3rd wicket partnership, in which he scored 47* off 40 balls in which he smashed 2 sixes and 4 fours. He was definitely out of form, even before the beginning of the IPL 2021 and this strong match-winning show would boost Eoin Morgan’s confidence.

Also, Eoin Morgan was getting critiqued for his captaincy over the past few matches and the inadequacy in decision making. But against PBKS in their 6th match, his decisions were pretty much right and this performance would definitely quiet his critics for the moment.

All in all, winds of change for KKR or just a spat of victory, only the time will tell and whether KKR manages to make this victory act as the reason for teams elevated performance or not?
