IPL 2021: Ishant Sharma stuns RCB in his first game

2 Min Read

Indian pacer Ishant Sharma who plays for Delhi Capitals in IPL played his first game of IPL 2021 and showed his class to the RCB batsmen. He picked up the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal who was looking in fine touch and bowled the over maiden.

He opened to bowl the innings and conceded 6 runs in the first over. Padikkal managed to score a four but he was asked questions when the ball was close to the stump and body. He was struggling to make a clear contact on the bat as he missed 2-3 balls completely and a couple of times he was found lucky as the inside edge didn’t take the bails off.

Ishant came back in the 5th over in front of Padikkal as Virat was sent off on the last ball of the last over. Ishant got Padikkal on the very first ball as the bails were off on his famous inside cutter which is suppose to be a trouble-maker for left-handers. Padikkal had no answer to that bowl as he was sent off. He bowled the over maiden as the new batsmen Maxwell failed to find gaps on the on-side.

Ishant is playing his first game of IPL 2021 today in Ahmedabad. He has a good spell in the powerplay giving Delhi the front seat against RCB. He has conceded 15 runs in 3 overs with an economy of 5.i
