In the weekend match-up against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai won the toss and chose to bat with the intention of going big and posting a heavy score on the board.
Things went well in Mumbai’s favor initially as they were able to build up a solid opener batting partnership between Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma, just when things started getting interesting Hyderbad bowler Vijay Shankar decided to crash the party for Mumbai, as he went on to dismiss Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav landing a huge blow to their batting order, Mujeeb Ur Rahman also contributed to the crash with de Kock’s wicket and Mumbai found themselves in trouble.
Kieron Pollard was up next for batting as he tried to revive the team from a slump. Pollard who is known for his destructive batting style, warmed up to the occasion as Mujeeb Ur Rahman prepared to bowl, Pollar went big in the very first ball against Rahman.
Rahman bowled a short ball on the outside off, big man Pollard stepped back and picked up the ball right on his heavy bat smashing the ball for a massive 105-meter six which almost went out of the stadium.
That sixer for sure rocked everyone present at M Chidambaram stadium and the viewers at home as it was the display of pure destructive batting.
