KKR had a dream start in Match no. 9 of the VIVO IPL. Varun Chakravarthy deepened the trouble for RCB in his very first over when he dismissed Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar. But the overjoyed celebrations didn’t last long for KKR as Devdutt Padikkal and Glenn Maxwell’s 2nd wicket partnership of 86 runs, took almost all the things away from KKR.
Padikkal though made a slow 25 off 28 balls but played the important second fiddle role in the partnership as the center stage was taken by THE BIG SHOW, Glenn Maxwell.

Maxwell made 78 from 49 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 mammoth sixes, before Pat Cummins shunted him out. But it wasn’t only Maxwell’s day, but Mr. 360, AB de Villiers knock was the reason why RCB made 204 on board.

Eoin Morgan has been criticism for wrong bowling options choice. His not giving a second-over spell to Varun Chakravarthy, opting to stick with Russell in the last over despite de Villier’s presence, not using Shakib to his full extent, were some of the big blunders KKR made while bowling.
