Ahead of the Indian Premier League, the head coach of RCB shares an insight. Mike Hesson talks about his role as Head Coach. He shared the managements’ thought process behind choosing the replacement players. Interestingly, this year the Royal Challengers Bangalore have been doing extremely well. The team has only lost two matches in the first half of the tournament.
At present, the team is preparing for the tournament. The squad is seen in practice sessions in UAE. They go against the Kolkata Knight Riders on 20th September. In a video shared by the team on Instagram, Mike Hesson says,’ It is still a work in progress yet.’ Luckily, there is a good group, to share the load. The head coach understands that the management had to first understand who was available in the tournament and then announce the player replacements based on a fine balance in the team. Hence, a reassessment was done.
Speaking of the players, Hasaranga, Chameera, George Garton, and Tim David add value to the team with their outstanding capabilities in the field, then with the bat and ball both. The Indian players are also adding a strong line-up to the squad.
Mike Hesson shared that the team management focused too much on the player replacement window. With all the preparations underway, best of luck to team Royal Challengers Bangalore!
