Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja have achieved a much-needed breakthrough against the strong batting order of Mumbai Indians. Chennai was struggling as none of the batsmen could be sent to the pavilion till the eighth over. All bowlers of Chennai were being washed down by Rohit and de Kock until Thakur and Jadeja came in.
Shardul Thakur came into the eighth over and caught the wicket of Rohit Sharma when tried to pull off a long shot looking for a boundary but gave an easy catch to Ruturaj Gaikwad. While Jadeja took the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav when his bat’s inside edge touched the ball and a very difficult catch was caught by wicket-keeper MS Dhoni’s hands.
The next wicket to go was opener Quinton de Kock when he was caught and bowled by Moeen Ali.
These three wickets might have changed the fate of an unfavorable match in the favor of the Chennai Super Kings.
