Rohit Sharma has fined Rs 12 lakh due to the slow over-rate of MI in yesterday’s match which was between DC and MI in Chennai at Chidambaram stadium on 20 April 2021. it was 13 match of the IPL 2021. As DC win against MI by 6 wickets. MI won the toss and opt to bat. DC’s Mishra picked 4 important wickets and MI made 137 runs. Mishra was the most valuable asset of yesterday’s match played an important role in the win of DC against MI. Rohit Sharma who made 44 runs in 30 balls is fined rs12 lakh by IPL because of MI’s slow over-rate in yesterday’s match.
According to the IPL code of conduct, the minimum over rate for the bowing team should be 14.1 per hour. and if the over rate of the bowling team remains less than 14.1 then it will be a matter of over-rate offence. Then, in the first offence of the IPL overrate the captain of the bowling team will be fined Rs 12 lakh. In the second offence of slow over-rate captain of the bowling team will be fined 24 lakhs also each member of playing XI team have to pay 25 per cent of the match fee.
In the third offence of the over the rate of IPL 2021, the captain of the bowling team will be fined 30 lakh and banned from playing in the next match of IPL.
