IPL 2021: Samson-Dube Partnership helps RR from Chahar’s double blow

1 Min Read

Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube played a very good inning in the middle order and contributed 57 runs from 47 deliveries to the Rajasthan team. The left-right combination played some good shots and was looking for trouble to Mumbai bowlers, but it was Trent Boult who bowled out the Rajasthan Captain. Both the batsmen scored 26 runs in the partnership.

Shivam Dube came to bat when Yashavi Jaiswal was sent off by Rahul Chahar in the 10th over. Rajasthan was in a strong position as they were scoring runs with a good run per over rate. Dube and Samson prioritized wickets overruns and played calmly in the middle overs as they had already lost two quick wickets. Dube scored few boundaries but his innings looked slow.

Samson took the charge when Boult came into the bowl and scored 14 runs off him. Bumrah gave only 5 runs in the next over to the duo and build the pressure. In the next over Boult did his job as he bowled out Samson. The pressure seemed clear because of the innings getting slower.
