Sunrisers made a mess of a 150-run chase as Bangalore managed to pull off an incredible six-run win in Chennai on Wednesday. Chasing a par total, Sunrisers were cruising at 115 for 2 in the 16th over but then a flurry of wickets put RCB right back into the contest. It all started with the wicket of Jonny Bairstow in the 17th over as Shahbaz Ahmed got rid of the dangerman. In the same over, Ahmed then got well-set Manish Pandey and Abdul Samad to swing the match in Bangalore’s favour. From there on, Sunrisers completely lost their momentum and the new batsmen never got going on a tricky Chepauk track. SRH eventually ended on 143/9, falling short by 7 runs. For RCB, Ahmed was the star of the show, picking up 3 wickets. Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj also got a couple of wickets each. Kyle Jamieson also chipped in with a wicket.
