Steve Smith makes way to the team hotel as he joins Delhi Capitals in the remainder of the Indian Premier League.

Australian batsman Steve Smith arrived in Dubai on Wednesday. He will undergo a 6-day mandatory quarantine period before joining the team. Some of the other team members have already reached and have set up their training camp in UAE.

Steve Smith had an elbow injury and had to miss out on a lot of cricket. After his recovery now he is all set to have a busy cricketing schedule ahead with the Indian Premier League underway. 

Post the IPL, he will immediately join in for the T20 World Cup followed by the Ashes at home.

After the 2020 season, Steve Smith was released by the Rajasthan Royals and successfully bought for 2.2 crores in the auctions held by the Delhi Capitals. 

It is going to be an interesting season for the table-toppers of the tournament. With Rishabh pant continuing and captain for the rest of the league.

The Delhi Capitals will resume their campaign against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 22nd of September live from the Dubai International Stadium. Best of luck to the teams as they begin their campaigns soon! 2
