Chasing a mammoth 222-run target, Rajasthan Royals got off to a terrible start, losing their openers inside four overs. Meanwhile, Samson has brought up yet another fifty in the IPL. His first as skipper of the Rajasthan Royals. He is the only one who can take Royals to a win here.  Sanju Samson brings up his fifty on captaincy debut in style, hitting a four off Riley Meredith. He takes just 33 balls to reach the landmark.

Fifties from KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda helped Punjab Kings post 221 for 6 against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. PBKS captain Rahul top-scored with 91 off 40 balls while Deepak Hooda smashed 64 off 28. IPL debutant Chetan Sakariya was the pick of the Rajasthan bowlers with three wickets for 31 runs in four overs. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field. The Sanju Samson-led side picked their overseas players in Chris Morris, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Mustafizur Rahman. KL Rahul’s PBKS are going with Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith.
