Aakash Chopra has selected the Ideal Playing XI of Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2021 season. KKR’s team has a good mix of young and experienced players and this team is quite tremendous.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Akash Chopra chose KKR’s Ideal Playing XI. As an opening combination, Akash Chopra has given preference to Indian batsmen in this team. He has supported Rahul Tripathi and Shubman Gill to open the innings and has only included a foreign batsman in the top 5 as captain Eoin Morgan.
Veteran all-rounder Andre Russell has been retained by Akash Chopra for batting at number six. Also, he has ranked Pat Cummins at number seven. He believes that Cummins can play the role of a big hitter on this line. Pat Cummins was bought by KKR last season for a significant amount of money and was the highest-selling player.
Akash Chopra further said that one can choose between Loki Ferguson, Shakib Al Hasan, and Sunil Narine depending on the pitch. At the same time, he has also given place to Varun Chakraborty and the Prasiddh Krishna in the team. Akash Chopra has also included Kuldeep Yadav, who is not in good form at the moment.
