IPL 2021: Vijay Shankar’s wide delivery got out Sanju Samson for 48

1 Min Read

The Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson was caught by Abdul Samad on the edge of the boundary line just before reaching towards his 50. Samson scored 48 runs in 33 balls and played a very good supportive role for Jos Buttler who scored his maiden century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Samson scored 4 fours and 2 sixes before getting out.

Vijay Shankar bowled the delivery wide. It was well enough far from Samson that if he would have left that, it was surely a wide. But he considered going for the big hit. On the boundary ropes, it was Abdul Samad who judged the ball well and remained cool in the end. It was a tough catch, but he managed well to grab that and send Sanju to the Pavilion.

Sanju has now scored 277 in this season with an average of 46. Rajasthan batting has not been up to the mark this season but Sanju carried the whole batting unit until now.
