Ab De Villiers played a superb inning in his match against the Delhi Capitals on Tuesday but this was not the only highlight of the day. The South African legend also became the quickest batsman to reach 5000 runs in IPL.
The Mr 360° of world cricket took only 3288 balls to reach this landmark. De Villiers has been one of the trademark players of Royal Challengers Bangalore and has been one of the most dangerous batsmen in IPL for a very long time.
Well after this record, Australian batsman congratulated De Villiers for reaching this milestone and also called him his inspiration.
