35-year-old Uthappa has made a huge reveal before IPL 2021. He has told that MS Dhoni was not at all responsible for his trade from Rajasthan to Chennai, but when he got the news of joining CSK, Dhoni himself called him. Robin is very happy to join CSK.
Robin told ESPN Cricinfo, ‘Dhoni called me himself. He said, I want to tell you that I have not made a decision about you. It was actually a decision by the leadership group, which included the coaches and the CEO . I did not want anyone to think that I am choosing you. I wanted you to join the team with your ability and your skills.When this thing came to me, I said, please ask someone else to make a decision about it. Because later anyone can say that ‘Only because of MS Dhoni, Robin is in the team.’
