Rishabh Pant is currently sidelined due to a terrible car accident that occurred at the tail end of 2022, and it might take him more than a year to return to competitive cricket. However, the Southpaw attended Delhi’s opening IPL 2023 home game against Gujarat Titans and even met some of the players after the game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The 25-year-old was seen spending a lot of time with head coach Ricky Ponting in a video that DC posted to their social media accounts. He was also seen chatting with replacement captain David Warner.
While Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha of the Gujarat Titans visited Pant in the DC player’s dressing room, Axar Patel was seen conversing and laughing with the cricketer. Ashish Nehra, the GT coach, was also seen conversing with Pant.

GT handed DC their second consecutive defeat
The Gujarat Titans won the game thanks to Sai Sudharsan’s outstanding batting performance. GT needed a strong start because they were chasing 163 runs, but sadly, the visiting team lost three quick wickets in Saha, Gill, and Hardik Pandya.
Gujarat was in a tight spot, but Sudarshan rose to the challenge and played some outstanding cricket to save them. He received strong middle-order support from David Miller as the South Africa international scored 31* runs off of 16 deliveries. Gujarat completed the total chase with 11 balls left, handing DC their second straight loss of the year.
After the game, Sudharsan spoke candidly and said he wasn’t under any pressure and had been focusing more on the kinds of shots he wanted to play.
I’m a little anxious because this is my first visit. I was considering what needed to be done correctly. I wasn’t under any pressure; I was just doing the proper calculations. I was considering the best course of action because it was a little low and skidding through. I intended to play the game all the way through. surviving the storm before it hits (was more satisfying). That was the highlight for me, even though it was challenging at first, Sudharsan was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
