Full Schedule of IPL 2025 Matches at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad: Narendra Modi Stadium is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The importance of this ground has increased a lot in IPL after the launch of Gujarat Giants, as it is their home ground. It is the largest stadium in the world with a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators.
This stadium is named after the current Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Earlier it was known as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium and Motera Stadium due to its location in a place called Motera.
This ground has also contributed a lot to international cricket. Many international matches have been played here in the last few years. The final of the ODI World Cup 2023 was played here, in which Australia won the title by defeating the host Indian team, which was undefeated for 10 consecutive matches in the tournament.
Narendra Modi Stadium has been very special for Gujarat Titans
Narendra Modi Stadium is the stronghold of Gujarat Titans in IPL, where defeating them is considered a very big achievement. Gujarat has played a total of 15 matches on this ground so far, in which they have won 9 matches.
The host team won one match in one match here in 2022, five wins in eight matches in 2023 and three wins in six matches in 2024. This stadium has been very special for them and has given them many memorable moments here.
Ahmedabad has hosted two consecutive finals
The world’s largest stadium with the most spectator seating capacity has hosted the IPL finals of 2022 and 2023. Gujarat Titans, playing their first season in IPL 2022, won the historic title by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final match.
Apart from this, Gujarat, playing their second consecutive final in 2023, suffered a defeat against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings due to Ravindra Jadeja’s historic four off the last ball.
Matches to be played in Ahmedabad in IPL 2025
A total of seven matches will be played in Ahmedabad in IPL 2025, in which Gujarat Titans will play their home matches. The first match of the season will be played on this ground between Titans and Punjab Kings on 25 March. Apart from this, the final match of the season will be played here on 18 May between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
