IPL 2025: Ashutosh Sharma Responds Calmly After Spat With Ishant Sharma

Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Ashutosh Sharma delivered a strong performance in their IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He was also involved in a tense exchange with teammate Ishant Sharma during the match.

Coming in at number six, Ashutosh carried on his impressive form and played a key role in pushing DC’s total beyond 200.

He took the attack to the Gujarat Titans bowlers in the death overs, targeting pacers Arshad Khan, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna with aggressive stroke play, ensuring a big finish for his side.

During his innings, Ashutosh Sharma had a heated exchange with veteran Gujarat Titans pacer Ishant Sharma. The incident took place on the final ball of the 19th over when Ishant bowled a short delivery that struck Ashutosh on the shoulder.

The ball popped up and went straight to the wicketkeeper, prompting a loud appeal from the Gujarat Titans players. However, the umpire ruled it as a leg bye, as it clearly came off the shoulder. Ishant appeared frustrated and said something to Ashutosh, who responded by pointing to his shoulder, signaling that the ball hadn’t touched his bat.
