IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya is in great form with the ball in the ongoing match against Kolkata Knight Riders. This is the 12th game of the IPL 2025, being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
IPL 2025: Hardik Pandya Shines with the Ball Against KKR
Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians have been very strong with the ball in their match against Kolkata Knight Riders. After choosing to bowl first, they have put a lot of pressure on the opposition, with almost every bowler looking dangerous.
Hardik Pandya, who took two wickets in the last match, made an impact again by dismissing Angkrish Raghuvanshi. The young batter was the only one looking comfortable at the crease, but the Mumbai Indians captain stepped up to get his wicket.
On the last ball of the 7th over, Hardik Pandya bowled a slightly short delivery wide outside off. The ball was slower than expected, and Raghuvanshi tried to pull it across the line but mistimed it towards deep mid-wicket.
Naman Dhir, positioned there, moved to his left and took an easy catch, sending Raghuvanshi back to the pavilion. It wasn’t the best shot choice, and with his dismissal, Kolkata Knight Riders lost their fifth wicket.
The Viral Moment: Hardik Pandya’s ‘Bye-Bye’ Send-Off
What grabbed everyone’s attention was Pandya’s celebration. After taking the wicket, he gave a “Bye-bye” send-off – just like he did when he dismissed Babar Azam in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

First Win for MI in IPL 2025 After Consecutive Losses
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the highest run-scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders in their match against Mumbai Indians. The young batter scored 26 runs off 16 balls, batting at a strike rate of 162, with 3 fours and 1 six.
His impressive knock helped Kolkata Knight Riders cross the 100-run mark. However, Mumbai Indians’ bowler Ashwani Kumar stole the show, taking four wickets and bowling out the opposition for just 116 runs.
Mumbai Indians dominated the chase as Ryan Rickelton (62*) scored a brilliant half-century, while Suryakumar Yadav’s quick 27 off 9 balls sealed the win with nearly 7 overs left. This was their first victory in IPL 2025 after back-to-back losses to Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.
