Kavya Maran’s Priceless Reaction To DC’s Run-Out Blunder: Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Vipraj Nigam had a disappointing end to his innings in the IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
DC had a tough time with the bat after being asked to bat first. The SRH pacers bowled with great accuracy, reducing them to 29 for five early on. Vipraj Nigam and Tristan Stubbs then tried to stabilize the innings and bring their team back into the game.
Kavya Maran Reacts to the Chaos
However, in the 13th over, a big mix-up ended Nigam’s innings. Stubbs nudged the ball and went for a second run, but Nigam hesitated. Both batters ended up at the same end, confused. Stubbs crossed Nigam and made it to the striker’s end, while the stumps were broken at the bowler’s end. The third umpire confirmed that Nigam was out, as he wasn’t even in the frame.
Nigam scored 18 off 17 balls with one four and one six, leaving DC at 62 for six. SRH owner Kavya Maran was seen laughing at the bizarre run-out.

A Fighting Total Despite Early Wickets
Vipraj Nigam couldn’t make the most of his start, scoring 18 off 17 balls with one four and one six. He had a strike rate just over 100 before getting run out, leaving Delhi Capitals struggling at 62 for six.
Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma then rescued the innings with a vital 66-run stand. Stubbs remained unbeaten on 41 off 36 balls, hitting four fours, while Ashutosh smashed 41 off 26 with two fours and three sixes.
Thanks to their efforts, Delhi Capitals managed to post a competitive total of 133 for seven. Pat Cummins was the standout bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking three wickets.
