New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who was picked over Devon Conway, led the scoring with an unbeaten 65 runs off 45 balls. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad also contributed with 53 runs from 26 balls.

In the season’s first Clasico, played at CSK’s home ground, former CSK player Deepak Chahar was impressed with his all-around performance for MI. On his IPL debut for Mumbai, pacer Deepak Chahar had a solid performance with both bat and ball in the match against Chennai Super Kings. While Deepak Chahar impressed with his batting and bowling, he also had a memorable moment on the field. The pace-bowling all-rounder was seen teasing Chennai Super Kings’ MS Dhoni as he came out to bat late in the innings.

MS Dhoni walked out to bat in the 19th over after Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed. The crowd gave Dhoni a warm reception, chanting his name loudly as he made his way to the field.

As Dhoni walked out, Deepak Chahar was spotted saying something to him and clapping in front of the CSK star. The two shared a fun moment, which continued after the match when the players shook hands. Afterward, Dhoni jokingly tapped Chahar with his bat.
