Now that this is confirmed, the CSK management has no objection to including the former captain for the next season.
What did the CSK CEO say?
As quoted by Cricbuzz, the CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanath has said – ‘If he (MS Dhoni) is ready, what else do we need? We are happy.’ Viswanathan said this when he was asked if the franchise is ready to make the Indian great a part of their plans for the next season.
Earlier in an event, MS Dhoni was heard talking about his plans for IPL 2025. When the host asked the World Cup-winning captain if he would play in the next tournament, he replied – ‘I just want to enjoy the last few years of my cricket. When you play cricket like a professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy it just like a game. That’s what I want to do. It’s not easy.‘
Let us tell you that the last date for releasing the retention list is October 31. With MSD’s intentions clear, he is expected to be retained as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore.
