Lucknow Super Giants’ Power-Hitting Leads the Way
Asked to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants lost Aiden Markram (15) early. However, Mitchell Marsh (72) and Nicholas Pooran (75) took charge with their aggressive power-hitting. The duo added 87 runs for the second wicket, with boundaries and sixes flying as long as they were at the crease.
After that, Delhi Capitals made a strong comeback by taking regular wickets to slow down the run rate. David Miller (27*) played an important knock as Lucknow Super Giants finished with 208/8. For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav was the best bowler, taking 2 wickets for 20 runs, while Mitchell Starc picked up 3 wickets.

Delhi Capitals Fight Back After Early Setbacks
Delhi Capitals had a tough start as Shardul Thakur took two wickets in the first over, and M Siddharth also picked up a wicket, leaving them at 7/3. Under pressure, Faf du Plessis (29) and captain Axar Patel (22) steadied the innings with a 43-run partnership.
However, both of them got out quickly, and Delhi was struggling at 65/5. Tristan Stubbs (34) and Ashutosh Sharma (66*) then fought back with a 48-run stand. Debutant Vipraj Nigam (39) also played a key role, partnering with Ashutosh to add 55 runs.
But the spotlight was on Ashutosh Sharma. The right-hander, who came in as an impact player, played an incredible innings and guided his team to victory in a tough situation. Delhi Capitals won the match by just one wicket with three balls to spare.
