On Friday (May 2), Rashid Khan took one of the best catches of IPL 2025 to dismiss Travis Head in the match between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rashid Khan Pulls Off a Spectacular Catch
SRH were chasing a big target of 225 and started well. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head hit several boundaries early, helping the team reach 45 runs in just 4 overs.
Afghanistan star Rashid Khan proved he’s a game-changer even without bowling or batting, as he took a stunning catch that turned heads in the match.

It happened on the third ball of the 5th over when GT pacer Prasidh Krishna bowled a short delivery. Travis Head tried to pull it, but didn’t time it well. The ball went high in the air but wasn’t long enough to reach the boundary.
It looked like the ball would land in an empty area with no fielder nearby at midwicket. But Rashid Khan sprinted in from deep square leg and took an incredible sliding catch with both hands.
The Gujarat Titans players, including captain Shubman Gill, rushed over to celebrate the brilliant effort.

Travis Head was out after scoring 20 runs from 16 balls. At the time of writing, SRH were 63/1 after 7 overs, with Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan at the crease.
Earlier, Gujarat Titans posted a strong total of 224/6, thanks to half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler. Gill made 76 off 38 balls, while Buttler contributed 64 off 37.
