Rohit Sharma Shares Batting Tips with Abdul Samad Ahead of IPL 2025 Match
Before the game against Lucknow Super Giants, Rohit Sharma was seen talking to Abdul Samad. The experienced batsman was explaining to the young player how to hit sixes. He was also talking about how the pitch conditions can affect hitting sixes.
Speaking in a video shared by Lucknow Super Giants via their official Twitter handle, Rohit Sharma said: “Hit it either off this leg or off that leg. You know why I’m saying this, it’s because every wicket has a pace. It’s different everyday, today the humidity is more so there will be moisture, if it’s less humid and more windy then the pitch is better to bat on. You won’t get that knowledge until the match starts.”
Young Talent, Big Advice: Rohit’s Tips for Abdul Samad’s Growth
Rohit was also seen advising the young batter to rely on his own talent and technique, pointing out that some things can’t be achieved without proper technique. He said:
“Whatever ability you have, whatever talent, whatever technique, some things don’t work without technique, let’s accept that,”

Rohit was also seen telling the batter not to copy him, as it wouldn’t bring out his full potential. He said that if the batter tries to imitate someone else, he would spend his whole life doing that without truly developing his own style. He added:
Tu mere jaisa nahin khel sakta, mein tere jaisa nahin khel sakta. Tera apna ek talent hai (You can’t play like me, I can’t play like you, you have your own talent,)” he added. “If I go to copy you or you try to copy me, or if I go to copy his technique or his technique, life will pass by in that time.”
