Rajasthan Royals (RR) player Sanju Samson had a solid performance with the bat in the current match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). The game is being played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Sanju Samson’s Solid Start for Rajasthan Royals
Sanju Samson, who regained the captaincy of Rajasthan Royals after the first three games, looked in great form and supported Yashasvi Jaiswal well. The two put on a solid 89-run opening partnership. Samson played some excellent shots, and with his strong start, it seemed like he might score a big innings.
Sanju Samson’s innings came to an end in the 11th over when Lockie Ferguson bowled a fast delivery on the off stump. Samson tried to hit it over the infield but didn’t make proper contact, and the bat twisted in his hands. He ended up sending a simple catch to Shreyas Iyer at mid-off, who made an easy grab. Samson was visibly frustrated with his dismissal, throwing his bat in the air in disappointment.
