He started the bowling for LSG and bowled a solid first over, giving away just six runs. In his second over, he took two quick wickets, putting LSG in control. On the very first ball of the over, he dismissed the dangerous Abhishek Sharma with a short ball.
On the next ball, Shardul Thakur dismissed Ishan Kishan, who had scored a century in the previous match. For his hat-trick ball, he bowled a perfect yorker, but Nitish Reddy managed to dig it out.
Although Thakur couldn’t complete the hat-trick, his outstanding performance against SRH has earned him praise from all around.
