Suryakumar Yadav Sets New World Record in T20 Cricket

Mumbai Indians (MI) are playing their final league match of IPL 2025 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, May 26, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

India’s Mr. 360, Suryakumar Yadav, has been in top form this IPL season, scoring runs in every match for the Mumbai Indians (MI). His consistent performances helped MI bounce back after a slow start and reach the IPL 2025 playoffs.

He recently won his first Player of the Match award against Delhi Capitals. In the must-win game against Punjab Kings, he continued his great form with a 14th straight T20 score of 25+ runs, breaking Temba Bavuma’s record.

Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant batting has made him the first player ever to score 25+ runs in 14 consecutive IPL innings.

He’s also the first to score 25+ in every group-stage match of an IPL season. At 34, he now holds the record for the most 25+ scores in a single IPL season, beating Kane Williamson and Shubman Gill.

Suryakumar Yadav has become the first Mumbai Indians (MI) player to score 600+ runs in more than one IPL season. Only Sachin Tendulkar had previously scored 600+ runs in a season for MI.

He now holds the record for the most runs in a single IPL season for MI, passing Tendulkar’s 618 runs from 2010.
