IPL 2025: A ball girl was hit badly while trying to catch a six-hit by Suryakumar Yadav during the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday (April 5).
Suryakumar Yadav’s Shot Hits Ball Girl in the Chest at Ekana Stadium
The incident happened in the fifth over of Mumbai Indians’ innings when Suryakumar Yadav was facing Avesh Khan. On the last ball of the over, Khan bowled a delivery outside the off stump, and Yadav pulled it for a six-to-deep square.
Although Suryakumar Yadav didn’t hit the ball perfectly, he made enough contact for it to go over the boundary. Unfortunately, his shot hit the ball girl, who was trying to catch the ball. The ball girl didn’t spot the ball clearly and her hands were far from it.
The ball hit her on the chest before bouncing away. Despite the painful blow, she showed great composure, walked over to the ball, picked it up, and handed it back to the LSG player.
