Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli finally got his revenge on KL Rahul by doing the “This is my ground” celebration after their match on Sunday, April 27.

Kohli made the bold gesture after RCB defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 6 wickets in the 46th match of IPL 2025, held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Virat Kohli Mimics KL Rahul’s Celebration After Victory

Royal Challengers Bengaluru were given a target of 163 runs to chase on a tough pitch in Delhi. But their start was terrible, losing Jacob Bethell, Devdutt Padikkal, and Rajat Patidar within the first 4 overs. They were struggling at 26/3.

That’s when Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya came together and steadied the innings. They played smartly at first, careful with their shots, but didn’t miss a chance to punish bad deliveries. Soon, they picked up the pace and started attacking the bowlers.

Kohli and Krunal added 119 runs together, which almost sealed the match. Kohli got out for 51 in the 18th over, but Krunal stayed till the end with an unbeaten 73, guiding RCB to a comfortable 6-wicket win.

After the win, Kohli, who was sitting in the dugout, celebrated loudly. But the highlight was when he walked up to KL Rahul and copied his “This is my ground” celebration. The two shared a laugh after the cheeky moment.

For the unversed, earlier in the season, when DC beat RCB in Bengaluru, KL Rahul had celebrated in style by thumping his chest and pretending to strike the ground with his bat, saying, “This is my ground.”

The video of the same is going viral on the internet, watch it here:

Josh Hazlewood Shares Thoughts During Mid-Innings Break

During the mid-innings break, RCB fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who is currently the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2025, shared his thoughts on his performance so far. He said that he’s improving with every match after returning from a break before the tournament. He said:

“Everything feels really good. I feel like I am getting better every game. I came here after a layoff leading into this league, and I am feeling better and better with my run-up every game. So, it feels good.”

Hazlewood also praised the RCB coaching staff for their support and emphasized the importance of sticking to the process and focusing on execution. He added:

The pitch is a tough one to read. Batting against a new ball could be the easiest of all. Stubbs played well in the end. If you miss a yorker, you could get hit. The RCB staff is a good bunch of guys. We have been winning away from home and broke the duck (of losing at home) in the last game.”

It’s just about the process, delivering and executing. Sometimes you execute and don’t get the wickets. I think the guys did well today, especially Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar). He has done tough work. The credit should go to him.”
