The buzz around the upcoming season of IPL has started to build with teams and players sweating it out in the nets at various locations in India. WhileChennai Super Kings have already started their preparation camp, which also includes former Indian and CSK captain MS Dhoni, the 2016 champions SRH have also put out a post of players and coaches’ arrival.

Amidst all of the off-field buzz, there has been some important news that has been doing the rounds on various websites regarding the IPL being pushed back by a day or two. Well, there is no official confirmation that has been put out by the BCCI or IPL governing council. It is believed the delay is caused by the organisers having to coordinate with various authorities due to the assembly elections before announcing the same.
The Dates
The IPL schedule is likely to be announced on March 6 or 7, which is a day or two after India’s semifinal clash against England in the T20 World Cup andbefore the all-important final clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8.
The Teams
People are excited to see the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, all of whom will be rearing to go after a long break, with Kohli and Sharma having last played an international game in January, while Dhoni has retired from international cricket quite a while ago.
The Performance
All eyes will be on RCB, who will return to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium for the first time after being crowned the champions in the last edition, and will once again be led by the title-winning skipper Rajat Patidar.

While CSK and MI will look to claim their sixth titles, the most by any team in the history of the tournament, RCB will leave no stone unturned in a bid to defend their title and win it for the second time.
