Krunal didn’t bat while RCB was batting, so the brothers didn’t face each other in the first innings. However, they did come face to face when Hardik walked out to bat in the second innings.

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya came to bat with his team in a tough spot, chasing 222 runs. The team was struggling at 97 for 4 after 12 overs. Despite the pressure, the Pandya brothers still shared a laugh.

Hardik Pandya started his innings brilliantly, hitting Josh Hazlewood for two sixes and two fours off his first four balls. In the 15th over, he took on his brother Krunal, smashing two consecutive sixes.

Meanwhile, talking about the match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made an exciting comeback in IPL 2025, defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 12 runs in a thrilling match at Wankhede Stadium. Despite MI’s fightback, Krunal Pandya’s brilliant final over sealed the win for RCB, handing Mumbai their fourth loss in five games.

RCB batted first and got off to a strong start with a 91-run partnership between Virat Kohli (67 off 42) and Devdutt Padikkal. After Kohli and Liam Livingstone fell, Rajat Patidar scored 64 off 32 balls, and Jitesh Sharma remained unbeaten on 40 off 19, helping RCB post 221/5. MI’s bowlers, including Jasprit Bumrah (0/29), struggled, allowing RCB to score at 11.05 runs per over.

In response, MI’s chase started with Rohit Sharma (17 off 9) hitting some early boundaries before getting out. Suryakumar Yadav (28) also fell cheaply, leaving MI at 105/4. Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma then added 56 off just 16 balls, with Tilak scoring 56 off 29 and Hardik 42 off 15. But Hazlewood’s strong over and dismissal of Hardik turned the game in RCB’s favor. Krunal Pandya then took three wickets in the final over, ensuring RCB’s victory.
