Indian Premier League (IPL), the greatest cricket carnival of Indian Cricket has given many young players the to share the stage with established international players and gained a lot of experience, which helped them in their careers. The rules and the pitches have always assisted batters in dominating the bowlers, but some bowlers stepped up each season for their franchise to dismiss the batters constantly. The bowler, who shows consistency more, can take more wickets. Many have shown their talents over the years and have taken multiple wickets in a single season. Harshal Patel:

Year: 2021

Country: India 

Harshal Patel, the right-arm medium pacer, debuted for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2012. Since then, he has played plenty of cricket in IPL but got his breakthrough season in 2021 while playing for RCB, where he bagged 32 wickets and had a decent economy rate of 8.14. His best performance came against Mumbai Indians, where he picked a hat trick by taking wickets of Hardik Pandya, Keiron Pollard, and Rahul Chahar. He is used as the death-over specialist and took most of the wickets with his variations. Many batters were unable to pick up his slower ball. This brilliant performance helped him to make his debut for the Indian team.

Dwayne Bravo :

Country: West Indies 

Dwayne Bravo, the legendary all-rounder of T20 Cricket, left an impact in the IPL while playing for Chennai Super Kings and won many matches for the franchise with both bat and ball but what he did in the 2013 season was something special when he bagged 32 wickets from 18 games in that season. 

The slower ones from the bowler were a new lesson for the new-generation bowlers to restrict the batters from big hitting. Bravo picked up four wickets in the final of IPL 2013 against MI but unfortunately lost the final. He won the purple cap again, after two years in 2015, by picking up 26 wickets. 

Kagiso Rabada:

Country: South Africa 

Kagiso Rabada, one of the premium bowlers of world cricket, had his best season in 2020 in IPL while representing Delhi Capitals. Rabada picked up 30 wickets from 17 matches in that season. He also had a good economy of 8.34.  He made his debut in 2017 but got the opportunity to play only in 6 matches but in 2020, he took his team to the final with his tremendous bowling efforts. In his IPL career, he has bagged 85 wickets overall. The South African cricket board also got impressed with his performances in the IPL. 

Lasith Malinga:

Country: Sri Lanka 

Lasith Malinga, the legendary Sri Lankan fast bowler, left an impact in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and became one of the highest Wicket-takers in the league. He debuted in the IPL for Mumbai Indians and played most of his cricket for this franchise in this league. The ace pacer bagged 28 wickets from 16 matches with an economy of 5.95. In his IPL career, he played 122 games and took 170 wickets at an average of 19.80 with an economy of 7.14. Malinga took a lead role in the finals of 2013 and 2015 against Chennai Super Kings while defending small totals. 

James Faulkner:

Year: 2013

Country: Australia 

The left-arm Aussie pacer gave a great contest to Dwyane Bravo in 2013 for being the highest wicket-taker of the season. He is at the 5th position of the list by taking 28 wickets while playing for Rajasthan Royals with an outstanding economy of 6.75. The ausee all-rounder got a climb in his career after that season and played some incredible matches for his franchise and country too. He played a total of 60 games in his IPL career and bagged 59 wickets with an economy of 8.69. With their outstanding caliber, the bowlers have all left an impact on any format of games.  Especially in IPL, the leg-break bowlers always came above others, but it’s a surprise that any leg spinners aren’t part of the list. All these bowlers who are part of the list have shown outstanding performances in those particular seasons.
