Rajasthan Royals vs. Kolkata Knight Riders – April 29, 2014, Abu Dhabi
In the 2014 season, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tied a game once more, with a super over being used to settle the outcome. In a rematch of their 2009 Super Over match, the Royals prevailed over Knight Riders after the score was knotted at 152 runs. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals square off to end each other’s winning streaks after both teams triumphed in their previous games. As a player, Shane Watson has had a better IPL 2014 than Gautam Gambhir, but as the captain, the statistics are the opposite.
As they want to make this final game in Abu Dhabi memorable, KKR and RR will play an epic encounter in the final round for both teams of the UAE leg of the IPL 2014. Because of their formidable lineup, Kolkata Knight Riders has been succeeding, as evidenced by the timely wickets they have taken in games against Kings XI Punjab by dismissing David Miller and Glenn Maxwell for insignificant totals. After three ducks and one run in the 2014 IPL, Gautam Gambhir must impress in this game.
With solid performances in the tournament thus far in batting, bowling, and fielding, Rajasthan Royals has been the most evenly matched squad. Sanju Samson, along with Pravin Tambe’s variations, who has the opposition off its feet, is the player to be pulling for in the Rajasthan side even though he and the team didn’t get as many runs in their previous game as they had planned. After tying in the Super Over, Rajasthan Royals also triumphed in a surprising match thanks to their superior edge in boundary counts.
